NEWS Wales app for iPhone and iPad

The NEWS Wales score has now come to the App Store!

The App is intended to aid clinicians in calculating the risk of patient deterioration and the likelihood of sepsis as an underlying cause.

It will enable you to:

•Calculate levels of risk.
•Link with the SIRS criteria for sepsis.
•Be aware of the need for earlier action.

It is currently being used by organisations throughout NHS Wales and is based on the NHS Early Warning Score and the Surviving Sepsis Campaign guidelines. It is not intended as a substitute for full clinical judgement and diagnostic procedure.
